Refund and Cancellation Policy

How to cancel, what happens to your data, and when you get money back.

Last updated 7 October 2026. Written in English; where a translation exists, the English version governs.

One decision to confirm before launch. The goodwill window in section 3 is set at 14 days. Change it if you want a different policy — but publish whatever you choose, because a stated refund policy is a condition of accepting card payments.

1. Try before you pay

Every product has a 14-day free trial that needs no payment card. The trial is the real product with real limits. We would rather you found out it was wrong for you before paying than ask for your money back afterwards, so nothing is charged until you actively subscribe.

2. Cancelling

You can cancel any product yourself, from your account, at any time. You do not need to email us, phone anyone, or give a reason.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • You keep full access until then.
  • You will not be charged again for that product.
  • Cancelling one product does not affect the others on your account.

3. Refunds

Subscription fees are charged for a period of access, and that period is generally not refunded once it has started. Within that, our policy is:

SituationWhat we do
You cancel mid-period No refund of the current period; access continues to the end of it
You subscribed within the last 14 days and have barely used it Full refund on request — just ask
Charged after you had already cancelled Full refund
Charged twice for the same period Full refund of the duplicate
An extended outage or a defect that stopped you using a product Pro-rata credit or refund for the affected time
We end your subscription other than for breach of the terms Refund of the unused portion
Annual plan cancelled part-way through No automatic refund of remaining months. Ask us — we look at these case by case

Refunds go back to the card that was charged, through Stripe, normally within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

4. Statutory rights

Nothing here reduces rights you have by law. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days, which applies in addition to this policy. [Confirm how this applies to your business — the right can be waived for digital services once supply begins with the customer’s consent, and most B2B sales are outside it.]

5. Tax

[Complete this section before launch.] Prices are shown exclusive of tax. Whether tax is added at checkout depends on your location and our registrations. Refunds include any tax that was charged on the original payment.

6. Your data when you leave

  • Export at any time — every product exports to CSV or Markdown.
  • You can still export during the notice period after cancelling.
  • We keep your data for 30 days after cancellation, so you can reactivate or export.
  • After 30 days it is deleted.

Export is self-service precisely so that leaving is as easy as joining. You do not have to ask us for your own data.

7. Asking for a refund

Email [email protected] with the account email and roughly what happened. You do not need an invoice number, though it helps. We aim to answer within one business day and to decide within five.

8. Chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before raising it with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and freezes the account while it is investigated, and in most cases we can simply refund you faster than the bank can.
